WELCOME
FROM THE HEADTEACHER
FROM THE LEADER OF SIXTH FORM
“The Angmering School is a calm and orderly place, where pupils feel safe. Leaders have created an environment that has a strong focus on learning and high-quality pastoral care.” - OfSted inspection report, October 2022
I am extremely proud to be the headteacher of The Angmering School. We are a school community with strong shared values, who celebrate our differences as strongly as the things we share in common.
Our school values of Ambition, Courage and Respect permeate everything that we do, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, whilst performing, when being creative or simply when spending time together. Visitors to our school often comment on the warmth of the relationships between staff and students and this is no accident. We encourage both students and staff to ‘work hard’ and ‘be kind’ in order that our students are safe, happy and ready to make great progress in their learning.
Of course, a harmonious and friendly community is only one foundation stone of a great school; it is equally important that students enjoy high quality lessons and can access a wealth of extra-curricular activities. Supporting students towards excellent exam results and encouraging them to develop their wider skills will set them up for success in their lives beyond school.
If you would like to find out more about our school and what a great place it is to learn, please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit. We will look forward to meeting with you.
Simon Liley, Headteacher
