A Christmas Carol with the Quantum Theatre Company

Last Wednesday, The Angmering School was lucky enough to welcome the Quantum Theatre Company, and their portrayal of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

The whole of Year 10 and Year 11 were invited to watch the performance. Despite the cast being a trio, they were able to captivate KS4 during the 65-minute whistle-stop show.

Following the performance, students were asked to share their thoughts. Here is just
a snapshot of what they had to say:

"I thought the play was absolutely and utterly fantastic. I wished it was longer!"

"I loved it."

"Amazing singing voices and stage directions."

"I enjoyed the play and am now looking forward to studying the play."

"I thought the performance was entertaining."

"It was very engaging and fun. It was very well performed and the actors were very
professional."

Even the teaching staff couldn't wait to share their opinion on the show. Miss Feltham said, "I thought it was brilliant! It has encouraged me to pick up the novel again, and I am reading it to my own children. It is such a wonderful story and is still very relevant today."

The English Department would like to add their wholehearted thanks to the students, the theatre company and all of our parents and carers for supporting the school with this wonderful opportunity. Hopefully it won't be too long before we are able to advertise another theatre event.
