Brighton and Sussex Medical School Hub update
The Angmering School has recently been granted Hub School status in West Sussex giving potential Year 10 medical students the opportunity along with students from neighbouring schools to attend interactive sessions delivered in our 6th Form. The first session took place on Wednesday 19th October.
After discussing with students what pathogens are and what makes them “successful” in causing disease students worked together to design their very own. Having considered transmission style, microscopic characteristics and symptoms it’ll cause, they then battled the pathogens against each other to find the ultimate super bug!
Well done to all the students who attended and we look forward to seeing you again along with Year 11 and 12 potential medics on Wednesday 2nd November where it will be a chance to understand “How to get into Medicine”.
