Inspiring the Future: Rolls-Royce ‘Future Ready Day’ a Huge Success at The Angmering 6th Form
Over 100 students from schools across West Sussex were given a unique insight into careers in engineering and beyond during the Rolls-Royce ‘Future Ready Day’ hosted at The Angmering 6th Form.
The event, held in partnership with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, welcomed 24 apprentices, Rolls-Royce educators, and representatives from Chichester College, who delivered an engaging and inspiring day of activities to students from Angmering, Felpham, Littlehampton, Selsey, Blatchington Mill, and Bishop Luffa schools.
Throughout the day, students took part in four dynamic workshops led by Rolls-Royce apprentices and staff. The sessions were designed to give students a real-world understanding of the skills, attitudes, and opportunities available within one of the world’s most prestigious engineering and manufacturing companies.
Students left the event feeling motivated and empowered, with many expressing their excitement about future possibilities. One student said, “I didn’t realise there were so many opportunities at Rolls-Royce.” Another added, “I was so excited to meet and talk to all of the Rolls-Royce apprentices.” A third commented, “I have learned so much from today and know so much more about expectations.”
Organisers hailed the event as a resounding success, citing the value of giving young people direct access to industry professionals and first hand insights into high-level career pathways. The collaboration between Rolls-Royce, local schools, and Chichester College showcased the power of partnership in preparing students to be truly ‘future ready’.
