Goodwood Estate Trip

A group of 37 students at Ks4/5 went to visit the Goodwood estate to meet with the head chef Alan White at' Farmer, Butcher & Chef Restaurant'. He gave a talk on his career, how he designs menus for the multiple food outlets on the Goodwood estate and for different events, how he uses seasonal & organic  produce from the Goodwood site in his menus. We visited the kitchens to look at the various job roles/equipment & setting up service etc. The chefs cooked us a sample steak burger & fries from their menu for all of us to try. We saw the various farm animals, dairy farming/milking, the creamery/ the butchery and crop production methods. All used by the chefs in their menus.
