Year 8 creative writing competition

Every summer we run a creative writing competition for Year 8 students. This year the challenge was to compose a monologue based on the play “Our Day Out” by Willy Russell.

We are very excited to announce that this year the prize has been awarded to Ben Goodchild 8TCL. His name has been added to the William Nicholson shield, which is kept on display at the library.

Ben was awarded the shield and a £20 book token by visiting author Helen Dennis.
