St John's College, Oxford

Undeterred by the early start and heavy rain, a group of Year 10 and Year 12 students headed up to St John's College, Oxford on Thursday 5th June. Hosted by Megan and a third year biomedical science student we learned that St John's alumni included Malala Yousafzai, Rowan Atkinson (AKA Mr Bean), Hugh Grant (AKA Phoenix Buchanan), and that Emma Watson (AKA Hermione Granger) is undertaking one of the courses there currently! 

We appreciated learning about the application process and life as a student. After touring the beautiful campus and a delicious lunch, we attended a workshop in the Ashmolean Museum, handling artifacts thousands of years old and hearing about how they were created and used.
