Transition from Primary School
A very warm welcome to The Angmering School. We are really looking forward to your child joining us in September and to welcoming your family into our community. We always aim to make transition an exciting and enjoyable experience, giving our new students the best possible start.
This is an exciting time for your child and for you.
The move to secondary school marks an important period in any student’s learning. It is vital to get the transition from Year 6 right so that every student can continue to make progress and flourish. The Angmering curriculum experience in Years 7 - 9 is designed to be exciting, challenging and engaging. The aim is that all students are ready for their GCSEs and continue to develop their knowledge, skills and appetite for learning.
We believe that these goals are achieved through the partnership between parents, carers, school and students. This guide is designed to give you the information you need to support your child’s learning in Key Stage 3.
